The Team Assembles

C. Soha

Anna, Kari, Kaylynn, and I have embarked on the arduous and rewarding journey that is creating an extensive, sometimes item-level inventory of everything that resides within the BHS Archives space. This will eventually lead to some reorganization and de-cluttering via the de-accessioning of duplicate or irrelevant items – but that comes later. Figuring out what we have – and to what extent – comes first.

Believe us when we say there's a lot of material to sort through. From textiles like old uniforms and school sweaters to ephemera like watches and jewelry, sports memorabilia, trophies, physics lab machines, felt banners, newspapers, yearbooks, and photographs - we've got it all, and seek to leave no stone unturned in our report of the items in this space.

In consideration of the good old divide and conquer strategy, we've sectioned off areas of the room to work with in elaborating our inventory, being sure to note the condition of the materials as we go.
